Seventh Annual Cyber-Conference on Dispute Resolution – April 12, 2017

Brian Jarrett sent a note to mark your calendars for the Seventh Annual Cyber-Conference on Dispute Resolution, which will take place on April 12, 2017, from noon to 2:30 pm PST.

The website has some basic information now and will be updated in the future. Here’s its description of the history and purpose of the conference.

Five years ago, Dr. Brian Jarrett invited a number of mediators, restorative Justice practitioners, scholars, professors, researchers, and students from around the globe to participate in a discussion on dispute resolution. In April of 2011, the group held its first conference on Dispute Resolution. Since that time, the Cyber-Conference has expanded to include a number of universities, Justice Departments, government organizations, tribal courts, non-profit organizations, and private sector organizations.

The conference has become a great opportunity for all to participate in a town-hall style discussion on a range of topics with in the field of dispute resolution; including, therapeutic jurisprudence, restorative justice, mediation, arbitration, Indigenous peace-making, and global peace-building.

The conference places special emphasis on peace-making, peace-building and indigenous healing across the globe. There are over 30 participating organizations coming from at least 10 countries including Australia, Iran, Israel, New Zealand, Peru, Kazakhstan, Canada, the U.S., and several others.
