In the wake of the acquittals of several police officers charged in the death of Freddy Gray in Baltimore,  Vann R. Newkirk II has a piece in the Atlantic suggesting restorative justice instead of using the criminal or civil trial processes (link here).  It’s an interesting read, with among other things a comparison of Baltimore’s police experience  to that of Los Angeles in the late 1980s and early 90s.
