Since I’ve been posting about hiring in the legal academic market this year, I’d be remiss if I failed to plug the Aspiring Law Professors Conference that we’re hosting here at Arizona State on Saturday October 17th. The conference is designed for those who are going on the teaching market and will focus on issues specific to a job search: tactics and strategies for success in the entry-level legal academic market, an insider’s perspective on the law school appointments process, and an opportunity to conduct mock interviews and give mock job talks. The keynote speaker will be Brian Leiter, law professor at the University of Chicago and author of one of the most widely read and influential legal education blogs, Brian Leiter’s Law School Reports.
