Senate Judiciary Committee Hearings on Arbitration Fairness Act

A column in today’s L.A. Times mentions last week’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on the proposed Arbitration Fairness Act (S. 987), and voices generally the consumer’s views against mandatory arbitration.  The consumer columnist, David Lazarus, notes that the bill’s chance of emerging from the Republican-controlled House are “slim to none at the moment.”
