Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon – Early Bird Deadline June 1

For those who coach or advise dispute resolution competition teams, the Hugh L. Carey Center for Dispute Resolution and FINRA will host the third annual Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon at St. John’s University’s Manhattan campus on October 15-16, 2011. This competition is unique in that it requires students to negotiate, mediate, and arbitrate in one competition (hence the “Triathlon“).  It is also different from many other competitions in that all of the mediators, arbitrators and judges are experienced practicing neutrals, drawn from FINRA’s roster.  That makes the competition extremely realistic.  We’ve gotten very good feedback from students each of the first two years of the competition.

Online registration is available here. The early bird registration rate of $300 per 3-person team is available until June 1, 2011. The regular rate of $350 is available until the competition fills or September 1, 2011 (last year the competition did fill up early).
