The ABA’s Dispute Resolution Section has just issued its Call for Proposals for the Section’s annual meeting, which is scheduled for April 13-16, 2011 in Denver.  Below is a small excerpt.

The ABA Section of Dispute Resolution invites you to propose a program for the 2011 Spring Conference.  The Section’s Spring Conference is the premiere national event for the ADR field.  Join over 1,000 dispute resolution leaders, including commercial arbitrators and mediators, scholars, judges, court professionals, and community mediators.  

As an fyi, here’s who will comprise the audience for your presentation.

The conference is attended by nearly 1,000 individuals from varying practice types and stages of career. Our most dedicated following is of highly experienced practitioners and law professors. These individuals expect the conference sessions to deliver quality, thoroughness, and thoughtfulness. Foundational programs geared toward the novice practitioner are welcome as well, and should reflect a significant depth of coverage of the topic. The majority of Conference attendees are mediators, arbitrators, advocates who represent clients in mediation, academics, judges, court personnel, community mediators, and law students.

In my mind this is the premier dispute resolution conference in the country, in large part because of its comprehensive coverage of ADR issues and the quality of presenters every year.  Whether you submit a proposal or not, you should plan on attending.
