Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program is now accepting applications for its next Clinical Fellow

 

The Clinical Fellow (CF) position reports to the Director of Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program. The CF will work closely with HNMCP staff to support expansion of the school’s innovative program in negotiation, mediation, facilitation, and dispute systems design.

The CF provides regular oversight, supervision, and coaching to students involved in Harvard Law School Negotiators, a student practice organization of Harvard Law School. The CF is responsible for providing strategic leadership for growth and developing projects for Harvard Law School Negotiators. The CF also provides additional oversight to the Harvard Negotiation Law Review (HNLR) and helps coordinate joint activities and initiatives of HNLR, the HLS  Negotiators, and the Harvard Mediation Program.

The CF works to support HNMCP program innovation, including creative projects such as research and writing projects related to facilitation, dispute resolution systems design, negotiation, and mediation. The CF also helps develop new teaching materials for use in the clinic’s teaching and executive education programs; these materials will include simulations, case studies, and materials for use with new technologies. As needed the CF also assists the HNMCP faculty in project management, clinic development, and outreach efforts.

This is a term position through June 30, 2021.

Basic Qualifications: J.D.; experience with theory and practice of negotiation, mediation, dispute systems design, or alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Must be a member of the bar in good standing. Hiring will be subject to a conflict check.

Please note: To qualify for a Fellowship at Harvard Law School, candidates must have earned their J.D. within the last three years.

Additional Qualifications: Should be passionate about developing the field of negotiation and dispute resolution, and have long term interest in pursuing a career in negotiation and dispute resolution. Superior interpersonal skills, proven capacity to work as a trustworthy and collaborative team member, sound judgment, an entrepreneurial attitude, exceptional ethical standards, strong mentoring ability, deft management skills, professional and responsible demeanor, and outstanding writing and verbal skills required.
