How Mediation Works — a New Book By Leaders in the ADR Field

I just had the opportunity to read the newly published, How Mediation Works, written by some of the leaders in our field: Stephen B. Goldberg, Jeanne M. Brett, and Beatrice Blohorn-Brenneur. My colleague Nancy H. Rogers also contributes a chapter. The book is a compact 106 pages but provides both a terrific introduction to mediation as well as surprising depth (given the number of pages in the book) to a variety of topics, including the role of the mediator, how to deal with difficult parties, the role of law in mediation and advice on how to become a mediator. Congratulations to the authors on a terrific addition to the mediation literature!

A sample chapter of the book can be found here: http://www.book2look.com/book/oIyJjaWecf. Here’s the Amazon order page: https://www.amazon.com/How-Mediation-Works-Research-Practice/dp/178714223X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1495914834&sr=8-2&keywords=brenneur
